OLED; an introduction
Anyone can see the enormous breakthrough that was made from a CRT to an LCD. All you have to do is put them side by side, but if you want to go into more detail, plug them into a meter and check the power consumption also – the results there are also significant.
Both of these standards by which the LCD eclipsed the CRT are soon to be broken through again with the release of OLEDs. OLED means organic light emitting diode and the technology is a huge step up from LCDs. In fact with OLED’s this technology may have reached the form of maximum evolution, in other words, it cant develop any further because the limit has been reached.
